That ought to get the job done as long as that long bracket kicks up so as not to damage your hull or transducer if you hit something. You may want to shoot thru hull. I'm no expert on electronics but if you can't find a place on your transom out of propwash you either have to go this way or shoot thru!I've never shot thru aluminum, but I believe it will work fine. OLD GEEZER FISHERMEN NEVER DIE, THEY JUST SMELL THAT WAY!!
Larry, I'm not sure about your temp. I don't think that transducer will read temp, so you may have to go with a seperate temp guage. And the adhesive is a seperate cost!It does not come with the transducer! Good luck!

Thanks SlabLapper, the temp not a big deal, just want to be able to see depth while runnin above and idle. looked at the alumaducer and I hear good and bad, Im not sure what thickness the aluminum is on a boat built by F and F, so I dont know that the alumaducer would work. Maybe someone that has a F and F boat can tell what the gauge is of the aluminum used
thanks
maachuu
Why don't you just ask F&F ? They have a website.
898 that dont have temp gauge in the ducer????
Larry....I think you can find out what guage your aluminum is here Arkansas aluminum boats, F and F Custom Aluminum Boats, F&F boats, Monticello Arkansas - F & F Boats, Arkansas boats, aluminum boat builders in Arkansas, F & F Aluminum boats, Arkansas Boat Manufacturers, F&F, boats, custom fishing boats, custom alum
I can read depth at speed with my 898
G, tried that, they dont have anything to do with the website, someone else does it for them and just puts the pictures and stuff. I emailed them and the webmaster emailed me back, I will try to call again on monday, they are hard fella's to get up with since its only 2 of them
