Minnows in independence

Where can a person buy minnows at specifically in independence. I am planning to fish elk city lake. Thanks in advance

I have no knowledge of any of these but they do have phone numbers listed you could call.

There are some CdotC members from that neck of the woods that might chime in here.

You might want to fish the river and not so much the main lake. Thats where I grew up and fished. Advice only..

Phils Bait Shop, also known as Phils Taxidermy, PH# 620-331-7740, located on the corner of Main street and 9th, south side. Hours right now are Mon-Fri 8am-12noon and reopens at 4:30pm for a few hrs. Sat 7am-6pm, Sun 7am-5pm. Reports of crappie being caught up the river at Card Creek but not much happening yet in the state park coves. Lake is brim full so hope we don't get to much rain or it will start spreading out! Independence used to have several good bait shops, but after JT retired seems we haven't had much. Kind of a hard business to make much money at I guess. Hope this helps!
