the first picture is 597 hd/di. all the others are 998 with the last picture showing the the same structure thats in the 597 shot ,but a little different view.

You have the update that removes the data from left side, do you think it made a big difference in on the water viewing of SI? I was going to buy a 1198 but the 800.00 price difference between the 1198 and the 998 is a little hard to take.

Any DI unit of 500 series can get the same view as SI units. I did this with my 570 DI, getting just a half of SI. This vacation I am going to get complete SI imagies of both sides on 570 DI, using split screen windows at 455kHz :)

I put the new update on my 998 and so far like what I've seen just going thru old recordings. Hope to try it on the water this weekend. Definitely like the new real estate in SI.
