Hillsdale 3-10
Fished Maryville area from 11 to 3:00PM but didn't find much. Only two keepers and a few dinks off the usual deep piles. Didn't get out very far. The shift cable came loose or broke. It's always something. Tried some screen and route saves with the new HB and that didn't work either. Back to the 150 page manual.
When I was leaving at 3:30 I came upon 6 emergency vehicles blocking the road past the stable area with nobody in sight. After about 15 minutes they came out of the brush carrying a stretcher. Another 5 minutes and another one followed them out. They put them in two amblances and pulled out slowly. The guy directing traffic said they were ok and it was a horseback riding accident. Don't know how it got two of them. The trails SW of the dock were full of horses all day. Hope he was right and the injuries weren't serious.
Way to go Snaggedagain. That was a good report!

when you come out of Maryville turn left by the water plant and there's a good boat mechanic a couple blocks down the road on the left. He's pretty good and reasonable if you're looking for someone.

Thanks, I've used Joe before and he does a great job. This one is something I can handle. I got the broken cable off and a new one is on the way from Iboats.

Deep docks at HD were really hot Saturday and Sunday morning in the rain. Us BoatWorks in KCK has a bunch of stuff on the shelf. Got me back on the water the same day more then once. Only place I'd have a lower unit rebuilt round these parts.
