Wiring hds to lss-1

Is the yellow wire from the hds unit wired directly to the yellow wire on the lss-1?

Yes, and when you wire it this way turning on the HDS will also start up the lss-1. Some people wire it differently so that the lss-1 has to be turned on independently cause they may not want the lss-1 on all the time the HDS-1 is on but I do

Thanks you very much Mr. jaxzprat. I was totally confused on that. I wasn't getting any power to the lss-1.

now to confuse you, I do not have a main power swithc, so I ran my yellow wire to a swithc, and if I do not want to use the LSS I do not turn on the switch,,,

My wiring is home run to the battery. I just tied the red and yellow of LSS1 together then ran to a switch.
