went to find crappie with jerry and Sid his 11 year old daughter. We went trying to catch crappie was a little windy for 3 people in the boat....We then went to chase hybrids that we saw yesterday. With the overcast sky the fish never got in the jumps so we trolled jerk baits on my homemade T rig......We ended the day with 1 keeper crappie and 3 good hybrids....Sidney did catch a hybrid and that made the whole trip worth while.....
Sounds like a fun trip on a tough day. I looked at the conditions this morning and changed my mind. The Jimmy is misbehaving, in need of a new distributor that will be installed in 2 weeks. Trashed around with the wife and just enjoyed the day, and had the best lunch in a long time at Olive Garden. Maybe a few hours in the morning if the tow car behaves. Cross your fingers.
i though the forecast for sat said 5-10 mph wind when i went to bed fri night it was more like 15-20 trying to drift was tough the wind pushing me over 1mph . but water temp was up 4/5 deg [56.6] how ever i did manage 6 solid keepers with 3 @ a pound +
Made it to Tims this afternoon for a few hours. Thought I could find somewhere to get out of the wind but it was tough. Finished up with 2 keepers and let them go at he dock. Fish caught on bg baby shad. Gave minnows a try and caught 2
bass. Water temp was 53 to 55 degrees. I put in at the state park and fished on the lower end of the lake.
