With sickle hooks seeming to be all the rage. I ordered up 400 in 1/16 and 1/32 ounce and began to paint'em up. All heads are hand painted with a 3 to 4 step process. I use a basic 6 color system and add glitter and or metal flake to alter there appearance. I made this jig rack and paint holder in about 45 minutes. 1/4 inch threaded rod has a perfect fitted grove to prevent baits from sliding around.

The drying rack looks nice along with your painted jigheads. You will like fishing with the sickles but you may want to get your next 400 on order,, LOL fishing tight to brush I go through 10 to 20 jigs on most trips, you don't recover many jigs once they hang up but I do like the hook-set using them.
Very nice work, would love to have seen some close ups of your jigs, especially those w/glitter added. The only thing I can think of that might make it better is if your dowels had some holes for hooks to go in and keep them apart. I use a wire rack and when you are doing a few hundred at a time, they can get a little crowded. On a couple of occasions, I've bumped the rack and sent several of them against each other. Not good.
Those are not dowels. They are what we call "all-thread", which is like the threaded end of a bolt, except the entire rod is threaded. The hook fits in the grooves of the thread and therefore won't slide sideways. Keen idea, seems to me. Getting ready to start painting my own jig heads and that's one of the first things I'm gonna build me. Great idea, Inkdabber!
