Forgot to say the this is showing the same as the DI but its in the SI (Middle) I think I have some shots on the card in my unit will go and get them. But It will show every fish that is there. Try running the split screen and use the Standard 2-D and the DI to give you an ideal of what your looking at. This will key you in on what your seeing.
Mine does a great job of showing the fish. Try to look at the screen without sun glasses. They will black it where you do not see the detail you should. Also take the snap shots and look at them on your Pc, you will see way more then you think is there.
Heres fish on the left and right of this one. The white marks are fish.

On the DI units if you are using the default blue screen the fish will show up as little white specks or a cluster of white specks. I can definitely find fish white mine much better than traditional sonar. Maybe you don't have the sensitivity turned up enough? I use the default blue screen and crank my sensitivity up pretty high (14-17 range normally). If you use other color screens you may not want to turn it up that high though.
