Went out to walk the bank today

at Nacimiento Lake.
I was in the Heritage Ranch.
My sister is a property owner there so I can get access.
I think that's what they call Dip Creek.
Anyway, I walked a goodly section of shoreline using a white Crappie jig and a chartreuse one.
I caught several fish but they were the wrong flavor.
Seems like the spotted bass are on a tear there.
Couldn't find the crappie in the small section of the lake I covered.
It was cold out and while I didn't check the water it looked very cold.
Also amazing clarity for February, you could see down a good 10'.
Been near 20 years since I shore fished that cove, I don't remember it being so tough, next time I'll take my Kayak or my john boat.

Water warms up a little more down
South first... SD is already producing,,
