Bitter Sweet Day...
Well, I've been following this board for about a year, and enjoyed looking at other folks creations, but never thought about tying until yesterday. I head over to Orvis to look a vises, chanels, hackles, etc., and decided to pull the trigger. A good friend of mine came over to show me the basics, which was a blessing, and the addiction set-in quick! I tyed, and tyed, and tyed some more until my eyes started getting fuzzy! Slept two hours, woke up and started tying some more! I'm 32 years old, fishing over a 100 days a year, and just hate myself for not giving this a go until now! banghead Thanks to all who post on this board often, I hope to make you proud someday! Here are some from day one:

I took up fly fishing about 5 years ago and it was a natural progression to start tying. My daughter bought me a vice last year for christmas and it has been a blast. Now I am starting to tie up jigs and it is just to much fun and rewarding when you catchem with home ties. Enjoy Im sure you will.

That's nice work for your first's. Welcome to the addiction. Start looking for a good sized desk with big drawers, you're gonna need it. That first one would smoke em down here.

Shooters!
Well, now that the cat is furless, all the squirrel in the neighborhood have been shot, stewed, and dyed, and the dog has a bare tail... it's time to go shopping! Were is the go to spot for materials?

I agree with Skeetbum, that first one looks nice for our area. He is actually the one that got me started. It's relaxing after a day at work to sit down and try different color patterns, ect. Enjoy....
