Greetings from the polar south

...Florida that is. It's been so warm I forgot it was winter and it makes this cold front seem that much colder. Anyhow, this is a great site and I'm glad to have found it-it seems like forum heaven compared to some of the hunting forums I'm on...no fighting, complaining or hijacking of threads..maybe because it's hard to be mad when you're fishin' for specks.

I look forward to learning all I can about catching crappies year round as I've typically been just a late winter/early spring-between waterfowl and turkey season guy as far as specks are concerned. See ya on the water!

Hey crappiegirl! I fish your back yard a bit...was just there saturday as a matter of fact. Well, maybe not your direct backyard as I don't go up the residential canals much but I do fish the main canal this time of year. It was pretty slow Saturday afternoon although I had a few bites-caught one pickeral immediately and had some other fish on but I've been losing a lot of fish lately. Thinking of going again this afternoon but may hit the lake (apopka) instead.
