Grenada in April.

Hi guys, I am from south Louisiana and I have a trip scheduled for Grenada in April. I have never fished it but always wanted to. My boss is from Kasiesko (?spelling) and he went up this morning to check it out. He is telling me the water is way down and only one spot on the lake to launch. He has never fished it either and is taking me as a favor because all I talk about at work is crappie fishing lol. From a little research I know the drain and fill the lake on purpose. My question is will the water be back up in April or did I waste my money on cabin rental. Any suggestions on where and what to fish with will also be greatly appreciated. Lake is already above 200. U probably were looking when it was at 195-197. I wouldn't worry about the water not being there when you arrive. Pretty dang rare by then. Besides, u can still get out and in even at that level. Just more work.

Can put in at Torrence now as well. You'll be fine more than likely, when in April. This pic was taken the 8th of April and by the time Easter got there there was 4 foot of water at this same spot.

We are scheduled to go April 9-11. What I will do is post again as it gets closer guys and see what's / what. Thanks for all the help.

Thats also the weekend of the Spring Camp at Sardis I think.

you are coming at a good time,it just depends on the weather as to what kind of trip you will have. Think of it like renting a house on the beach, will there be a hurricane, a spring rain, or tornado. Who knows? You cast your lot play whats delt you. But rest assured, you are coming to one of the best places in the world to catch a trophy.

I have heard that same thing from several folks, they call Grenada (car tag) because the sacalait are as big as the liscense plate on your car. I'm pretty pumped up about it and to be honest guys I have never even seen a 3 lb. White perch. I was kinda scared of a 12" creel but I'm going there for one fish. I would have to imagine a 3lb sacalait being at least 16". Most of the fish I'm catching here are 7-10" and 1-1/2lbs is a good fish. I was also scared of a 20 fish limit but that's a mind game anyway. Our limit is 50 but most days Bill Dance himself couldn't catch 50 on my river. 50 fish days are far and few between. 20 fish is a good day I don't care who you are and 20 fish 12" or better is alot of filet. I'm sure looking forward to it, you boys have a great management system I sure wish we had something like that here.
