I have a accura 240 and when i turn unit on it shows depth at59.9 in 7 foot. I have a second finder head i tried it same thing. 59.9 in seven foot of water could the transducer gone badsitting on dry land? Any help would be appreciated .

Could be a film or other obstruction stuck to the face of the xducer...
Could be the xducer not pointing straight down...
Could be the xducer gone bad...
Is your xducer setup transom or TM...??
Does it still show 59.9 in 10ft of water...??...20ft of water...??

Rickie, my xducer is on transom and i washed xducer with soap &water xducer in same place when it work last time. It dosn't matter if 20 ftw or movin on the water.thanks alot. Dale

Try wiggling the connection...
Try setting the unit into manual with a depth range of 0-100...
Try setting the "Show Digital Display" (under the Chart Setup) to "NO" ..then back to "SM" or "LG"
Is it just the Digital display...??
Does the bottom show on the screen at the correct depth range (the vertical scale on the right of the screen)...??
Here's is procedure for:
"Soft Reset"............................................ ..............and "Hard Reset"...
1. Turn unit OFF .................................................. 1. Turn unit OFF
2. Press and hold the EXIT key.................................2. Press and hold the LEFT & RIGHT arrow keys
3. Press and hold the PWR key.................................3. Press and hold the PWR key
4. Release both buttons when the unit powers up........4. Release both buttons when unit powers up
