Went to fish the outlet at Clinton Yesterday and there was a snowy owl sitting on the rocks. I saw a sign that KDWP must have put up for "snowy owl ettiquite" so I'm not sure if it is injured and has been there for a while or if several owls have been in that area. Anyway, a cool site to see. We Kansans might not see an animal like this in our lifetime. Just thought I'd share.
Very good. I was hoping I could spot one when I was out on the water after reading this article.

A week ago a friend of mine went to Clinton specifically to see if he could spot a Snowy Owl around the dam, he talked to someone with a spotting scope and this guy was watching one sitting on a sign down by the spillway so my friend went down there and there it sat, almost like it was tame.......very cool!!
They're not bad with a little garlic butter marinade and a side of asparagus tips.....I'm just sayin'....:cheers2
