DIY Foam Bobbers?

I fish a lot over brush / logs / weedlines and from the docks with the kids.

We lose quite a few 1 1/2 to 2 inch foam bobbers. Usually I peg them to fish to a max depth of 7 to 8 feet.

I know they are pretty cheap, but I always wonder if someone has a recipe for homemade styro or foam type floats. It's be nice to make fifty or a hundred and fill the kids' tackle boxes and never worry if we will run out.

i saw a field and stream article about saving ur wine corks and drilling a hole rite through the middle. but u would be drinking alot of wine LOL
