Supper tonight for guests

Well tonight I invited up a couple from Wisconsin and another guy that are staying here at the RV park with us to eat supper. They loved my lemon pepper crappie so well the other night that they kept raving about it, so I fried more tonight, but only difference tonight was it wasn't crappie, it was some bream! They never knew the difference and really had I not known, I probably couldn't have told the difference either. It was fried sweet potato fries and bream with coleslaw.
Now he's all ready to go catch some crappie with me. I was like brother whenever you get ready and the weather warms up its on like a pile of neck bones:p! We've got to find some of them tasty devils here near Hot Springs though. Either that or I may have to make the Nimrod trip and meet Mr Nimrod him self for a day on the water.

you can catchem at nimrod to you dont want to catch another one when they get right!!!! we caught atleast 100 a day back in the fall , lots of small fish but caught some solid keepers !!!!!!!!!

Up until a couple of years ago I thought you had to have live bait but after we got to catching them on beetle spins with small crappie tubes I learned different. Unless they are bigger you don't get as much meat off them, but small pieces in really hot grease taste the best!
