I don't know of any, other than individual Marine dealers that have shows every year like Huggins Marine in conjuction with Mid State RV in Albany. Fisharama may have some ???
Ha Ha. Fisherama is a joke to go and see boats. I don't see how they have vendors cause the charge for a 10 X 10 SPACE IS $500
Problem with going to the marinas is they do not have a lot of different models in stock to compare.i would like to compare the new models like triton, seaark, xpress, lowes etc.i have been to there web sites and they have all come out with new crappie set ups.but that just isnt the same as seeing them in person.
I went thru the same thing when I was looking for a new boat last year. I knew what features I was looking for and searched the Internet, I got lucky and found a boat I liked, but it seems like fishing boats take a back seat at boat shows.
New or used. When blindhog was looking at boats ew looked for a year and traveled a lot. Don't settle on a boat til you find the rite one. Take your time.....
I will not settle I have a 2003 tracker PT 185 with a 90 merc it has no problems.i am just looking to buy within the next year.looking for something wider in the front,a live well with bait bucket in the front and larger rod storage.really love the war eagle predator series.but having a hard time justifying 25 k .also can't find a dealer that has anything larger than a John boat in stock in war eagles.guess I am going to have to travel to tenn or ark.where there seems to more dealers with a lot of crappie boats in stock.will just have make a few fishing trips over the spring and summer.
gtojoe: The War Eagles are nice. You mentioned Triton and Lowe earlier. Triton is not making the metal boats anymore. The new Lowe Stinger 195 crappie model is the exact same layout as my '08 Triton TS18, except Lowe added a larger live well with bait tank area to the front deck. The Sports Center in Perry, GA has some you can look over and get up in it to check it out better. They are also a Tracker/Nitro dealer now too. They may work some thing out for you. Ask for Scott James and tell him Dan from Slab Masters Tournaments sent you. And, NO I don't get anything for you mentioning my name. I bought my boat from him and just like talking with him about boats every time I go in there. There was one of the new Lowe Stinger boats with a 115 Optimax at Blackshear a while back that I got to look over pretty good at the ramp. I would be looking at one if I was going to get another metal boat. Shame Triton quit making them. I really like mine, but the family has out grown it.
I am probably going to get me a new Ranger comanche in a year or two. I have been saving up a down payment for a while. Only reason I want to stay with a bass boat is I do bass fish a lot in the summer when I cant catch crappie and I like having a large front deck to walk around on. Also takes the wind and waves well. My dad and I also fish local bass tournaments from time to time so its nice to be able to run from one end of the lake to the other in a hurry if I need to. The last one I looked at had a 96" beam. Had plenty of room for 2 people to fish up front. My wife likes to stand up front and fish beside me when we are tightlining and the 374v Ranger I have now isn't very wide so it gets cramped.
Check this one out.....might could work a deal out? http://www.crappie.com/crappie/perso...-predator.html
