Need some info on where to stay at Kentucky lake, Jonathan Creek area, above or below. We will have 4 boats, 8 Christian men looking for a resort to stay at, a cabin, with cooking/kitchen areas. Boat ramp close by. A place to dock the boats and most importantly, a fish cleaning station. Last 2 weeks in April or early May. Planning on staying from Sat thru Wed. 4 nites. Thanks for looking.

IMO You can't go wrong with Sportsman's Welcome to Sportman's ANCHOR RESORT & MARINA
Great people to deal with and I believe you will find everything you need there.
That's where I would stay. Good ramp, cleaning station, and good people at the marina.
You might check with the Marshall County Tourism office. Randy should be able to steer you to other options if Sportsman's doesn't work out.
Looks like we are heading to KenLake State Park. Thanks for the info. Now if someone can help with, where we can catch some crappie. Haven't fished for crappie on Ky lake for 15 years. Any info appreciated.

Bassky ... I was "told" that everybody & his grandmother puts out brushpiles, RIGHT in the bay at Kenlake. This is very "old" information, but it wouldn't surprise me if it's still happening.
Put some of the guys out longline trolling, some drifting the channels, and some beating the banks ... & keep tabs on which technique is producing, then everyone "get like'em" !!
When I use to go down to KY/Barkley ... it was always around the end of the third week of April, and fished the dam ends of either lake. Mostly caught White Crappie, back in the Button Ball bushes ... but, things have changed a lot since then. Point is, keep track of "where" on the lake that the reports are coming from, as the spawn seems to start in Tenn & work its way towards the dam.
You should also read/study this : Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources - Preliminary Results even if you've read it, before. Make note of the water temps, weather conditions, water levels, and timing vs the movements of each species. Might help you determine what the fish "should be" doing, given the conditions at the time.
You might also keep your eyes on here, as there may be a chance that the Slabfest could be going on around that time ... and you can pick up some good info (if it's already passed), or possibly join in !!
