I have asked several questions lately and thanks to all of you who have responded. I have always been a single pole fisherman and we catch alot of crappie casting spinning reels too. But, I am about to give this spider rigging thing a whirl.
My question is- how do y'all rig your lines? Is the weight on the bottom and a couple of hooks above that? Or, do you tie a swivel on with a weight about that and have a hook hanging below it?
I would love to see some pics if any of y'all have any.

I tie a jig on the main line with a loop knot about a foot below that wrap your line 4xaround an egg sinker[weight of your choice] afoot below the sinker i tie on another jig.
When jig fishing I usually just use one jig one the bottom with an egg sinker around a ft above the jig. With a 1/8 oz jig, I'll use a 3/8 oz sinker. I try to have around 1/2 oz of total weight.

When fishing minnows and jigs I tie my own C&C Riggs. Three way swivel at top, 6in leader off side, 18in drop with1/2 oz egg sinker then small swivel with another 8in dropper. I tie on cross lock snap where I can change out hooks and jigs. Usually run a 1/8 oz sickle hook jig on bottom and plain hook on top. If I just want to use a jig do it the same way as ScottV. There are all kinds of ways to rig and they will all work. Just tie up some things and give them a try. Good fishing. By the way if you use swivels keep them as small as you are comfortable with.
