lake wylie 5/3/04

went for crappie but ended up catching a mess of big bull bream on a topwater accordo miss prissy poping bug in chartreuse with white legs and a white and chartreuse tail. used my 13 ft crappie rod to fling it out like a fly rod. got a good mess of them about the size of your hand. had to leave the lake around 4 because a big storm moved in. will be hitting the lake again before sunrise tomorrow. caught all fish down from the buster boyd bridge up in a cove on the left side just before you get to the nuke plant. i look forward to eating these bluegill to see how they compare to the taste of crappie. good luck with the fishing you all.

sounds like me and you gonna be chasing brim and shell crackers in the am... Havent done much brim fishing in the past few years, but them shell crackers we caught last week trolling has me itching to attack em... I doubt ill be there at sunrise but will be there soon after and fish to about 11 or 12. ill be in allison crick
