amelia report 1-10
got one last day in today before the front. missed the rain which was great considering the forecast. slow but steady bite all morning ended up keeping 28 and releasing 6 or 7 others. Pretty much standard trip lately as ive been in the 25 to 35 fish range almost every trip.

Nice catch, looks like a few of those black males are starting to get their spawning colors.

souhern slabs nice catch. When you talk about Ameila, what area are you referring too. Grassy Lake, Lake Verret, chermaie area. We were lucky not to catch the rain everyone else got. Some as this front passes it will get good again.

colors
Didnt overly notice when i was catching them as these were still out in 3 to 4 feet of water but after I took picture I noticed how many were getting black which they hadnt been to many of. WIth all this warm weather I think we will have a early fast and furious spawn like we did last spring. Hopefully not but lots of females with fairly developed eggs

to Bayou boy Yes Cheramie, Sherman, Grassy Lake area.

Those are some fat and sassy looking slabs SS. Just like the ones we caught Sunday at Bayou Corne. Thanks for the pictures.
