Humminbird memory ?
OK so I got figured out how to put my GPS coordinates into the computer and then onto a SD card and upload into the unit; heres where it gets tricky. I got about 300 waypoints went to upload and it said it uploaded 242 and not enough memory to upload all waypoints. So I pulled out the card backed up all my stuff on another card and then deleted everything off the HB unit snapshots, waypoints, tracks everything put the card inwith the 300 and it said not enough memory uploaded 242 and thats it!? I turned the unit off back on after deleting everything again. Tried again :dono same thingbanghead so I ask I know it's supose to hold up to 3000 waypoints 998 with down and side imaging; any thoughts sugestions? At a loss here how do I find out how much memory is on the thing and whats taking it up shouldn't be anything I wiped everything off and put it on SD card.

Seems like you have a bad waypoint somewhere. I've had this happen to me and I went back and removed a couple and kept trying until i found it. First make sure the date code is something usable and not from the 1960s like my 1 bad one was. Check humminbird pc in the far right side.

look at the waypoint files on your computer and see if one is inordiately large.

Open your files in Easy Gps program or some waypoint manager and count the waypoints. That will tell you something.

I read in my manual, 597 ci HD; this weekend that when waypoints are close togather that the unit will clutter the two! U have to zoom in on them to get them(waypoints) to get the unit to seporate them!

Thanks guys I think I got it there loading up noweven though it still says that there is not enough memory but there going on the unit so thats all that matters. I had one that was from 1969 don't know where it came from and there were about twenty or so that was in lake Erie which the boat and unit have never been and one that I forgot to put the longitude in and left it all zeros so it seems to be working now.
