Christmas Fishfinder

So I got a gift card for Best Buy for Christmas and I'm lookin' online at TV's and stereos when I stumble across fishfinders - didn't know they carried 'em.

This gets me to thinking about how awesome the HD fishfinder screen shots I've seen are. So;

1. Are the lower end HD units good? I'm really excited about the prospect of being able to really SEE what is on the bottom, a tree verse a stump or rockpile.

2. Anyone have any thoughts on the Humminbird - 570 DI Fishfinder?

Had one but sold it after i sold the boat that it was on.I liked it real well,it worked good and showed everything like it was supposed to.I think color is better,for me anyhow on account of my eyesight.I wouldn't hesitate a minute on buying another if i needed it.Also if i hadn't of had a elite 5 dsi on my bigger boat i would have kept it.Hope this helps!
