the bite was faily slow today but, when they bit it was a good one. ended up with a bakers dozen [5 @ 11", 4@12",3@13", and 1 @13 1/2"] only released 2 & they were 10". WT @45* fishing @ 10' with minnows in 12-14FOW. several catfish wanted to play today also, a lot of fun on 18' of rod. good to see others there today, one boat that was anchored seemed to know just where to be and was doing pretty good. happy crappie new year to all.Attachment 76952Attachment 76953Attachment 76954

Howdy, I was in the other boat that was anchored, nothing dominant on the bottom of the river where we were anchored, one thing we noticed that we did not catch fish till we secured the depth finders. We ended up with about 15 fish between 11" / 15.5" many throw backs under 11" 1 catfish, 1 Ring. We were also fishing 10' deep water 12'/14'. Try to get back up there Sunday later tide in the morning also 60*for Sunday.....
WTG on your 15.5" crappie, thats a very nice fish. be sure to get your paper from the VDGIF. also Adams Sportmart on rt 60 is doing the crappie contest again. nice talking with you yesterday hope we cross wakes again
