I saw a used trolling motor advertised for sale that was described as a Minn Kota All Terrain. Does anyone know if they are a good trolling motor or would I be buying someone else's problems? Thanks for any infomation.

Dang guys! Are they so old or so bad that no one has experience with them or just do not want to admit it?
I had a Minnkota AT55 on my G-3 boat- bot it new in 2004, TM finally died about 4 months ago. It takes a lot of abuse and keeps on going until you wear them out- or that's my opinion for what it's worth. If I could find another with less hours on it than the prob. 1000 I put on my first one I'd buy it.
Maybe that'll help you out a little.
i have used minkota for years the last one is a powerdrive i have ben using for more than 10 years and still going .have a used auto pilot that still running but do have a probablem with auto pilot but got it used in a trade .
They were pretty polular with bass fishermen several years ago prior to the Maxxum due to the self resetting spring on the bow mount. Typical solid MK engineering-definately worth a look if the price is right and it hasn't had the guts run out of it.
I have a 65AT I wanna sell. It's like brand new. I dont know much about the foot controlled motors but IMO it looks just like the maxxumx. I believe the maxxums start at 80 lb thrust though.
my older boat had a 50lb thrust all terrain on it, i put it on in 2000 and she has served me well just sold her this past fall and i'm sure that guy will get many more years out of her.
Gabowman,
sent u a PM bout your TM.
