Got the paper work back from VDGIF today. That cooler has been converted into a live well. I still have a few things to do to it. I'm trying to come up with a way to put a removeable floor in it without spending another million. I hate walking on those ridges. Also I have the parts coming to convert the motor to electric start. That trolling motor will be for sale cheap if Minnkota ever ships the 45" Terrovas.

Good Deal Bill. So when will the Orange hat make it debut?CF

Bill on a boat I did @ the same mods to-- ( know it sounds to light but it worked well - I was only 160# at the time)-- In the middle section- I used 1/4 plywood with grass carpet, it worked fine. But the ribs @12"-14" apart (polarcraft?) I didn't even screw it down --coolers and gear held it fine while trailering on highways
-
Bill, I have a small 14 ft boat that I did like Charlie said except I use 1-2 inch and on both ends had to put 2 by 4 nail under it because no rails where the ends of plywood need to meet on rail
-
I also Have a floating floor in my MV1448 Alumacraft, I used black indoor/outdoor, and treated 1/2" I cut 2x4s to fit between the ribs and screwed them to the floor, fits snug, no vibration. Will curl alittle if hot and humid, If I had it to do again It would had been marine grade....It is nice to pull the floors out for cleaning (stiff bristled brush) , especially after camping trips to buggs lol dang sand and orange clay....

That's some good ideas about the floor.
