Allatoona 12/18
Had one of my better days for December and to end my fishing for the year. Got on the water little after 1. (Kellogg Creek is down to one one boat ramp) The hybrid/striper folks were all over the place in big bunches. Looked like spring time crappied fishermen stacked on top of each other. Did catch my personal biggest hybrid/stiper measured 21". Lots of fun but sure made a mess of the lines I had out. Caught my first crappie at 3 and my last at 5:30 ended with 14. Never had any small or really big fish, just all nice size between 9" and 11". With the water as low as it is you really have to rethink fishing. Where I caught these is usually 35' water but the low conditions I found them in about 19'. Nice day for me. Darker colors blue/chart, solid purple, june bud/chart, blue/black/char - all on LWH jigheads
Hope to begin 2012 with my next trip. I've been lucky enough to fish Jan 1st the last few years.
Merry Christmas
