I'm wanting to upgrade to Lowrance's HDS-8, but having trouble finding maps for West Virginia lakes. I was particularly insterested in Stonewall Jackson lake in Lewis County. Anyone know of available software.

This isn't going to help you much as you are looking for Lowrance mapping. But I needed PA lake mapping, and couldn't find any products for Lowrance or Humminbird that had mapping for my lakes of choice. I'm now using a Garmin GPS for mapping and I just looked on my CD, and it has Stonewall Jackson lake on it with bottom contours. Here's a link for Garmin's Inland Lake mapping. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=254&pID=1404 Click on coverage, and then a map will come up. You should be able to click on that map and zoom in on the lakes you are interested in and see what coverage they have for them. Push come to shove, maybe you might want to go with a Garmin product for GPS and Lowrance for sonar.
Have you checked the hot maps platinum to see if its listed. Some people are getting the base HDS and ordering the hot maps. It all depends which maps have the most lakes that you fish.
