Winter wishes
You all have heard of the Christman song " I am dreaming of a white Christmas" well I am dreaming of lots of snow and ice and freezing temps, cold enough to freeze the lakes over with about a 4 or 5 inch sheet of ice for a couple of weeks. It's good for the lakes, it keeps the bait fish in check.
Conservation and preservation is the heartbeat of a true sportsman!

Ifen I was setting close by you I"D slap you in the back of head for even thinking of that type weather.IT can freeze 1/2in out 5 or 6 foot from the bank if it wants but freeze 4 or 5 inches is a sure sign of CABIN FEVER.
-
Old turtle herder, you and I ain't had a good picking at each other in along time, I can tell ya this, you would sure have cabin fever ifin Ya slapped me In The back of the head, I am about as hard headed and set in my ways as a person could be, you would surely break a hand. Ain't seen alot of you on here in a while, have you been setting back observing, or puter been giving you troubles. Been bowfin fishing lately. Danged old trash fish, is it up in your part of the world where they have found the snakehead fish?

Sladsntaters I haven't seen olduckhunter on in awhile,I guess he is mad b/c of all the water.Alot of duckhunters jumped up and down b/c the amount of rain before opening day scattered the ducks everywhere.Altho some old duckhunters went around with thier lips hanging down b/c they spent 1000's to pump up their duck holding areas.
I don't see how anyone can eat a old stinking duck, thats some nastly smelling stuff, the smell will stay in your nose for 3 or 4 days.I don't care how cold it is outside clean them outside, never never clean one on the inside of the house, stinks for days.lol

Oldduckhunter was around quite. Bit before the Arkansas/LSU football game a few days ago, I think he comes around when the is something to debate about. Yea the duck hunters in my neck of the woods were crying also about having pumped thier fields with water before duck season, you know the same old complaints, I spent a bundle on deisel fuel to flood my fields, or my electric pump ran forever to get the fields pumped full, I bet it will cost me a fortune. I am like you ducks ain't fittig to eat, they stink something terrible, not to mention they taste terrible, best way to cook duck is on a peice of plywood, atleast when it is done you still have a peice of plywood, cause the duck ain't no good. Give me fried crappie fillets anyday of the week and I will be happy.
