Havent here in awhile been really busy. Got married and just found out we are expecting another little one. Well want to ask does anyone ever fish the Ocmulgee river for crappie? I never have but was wandering if it would be worth my time?

yes i have and cought some but it is to low to run a boat safely and has ben all year.you canrunin some places but have to pull ove sandbar by hand .
About the same as papasage on the river beeing low. Caught some good ones back in spring when water was up they be close to the willows
If you can get a boat in, try the bends that are the deepest, they should be there.
Don't know what part of the river you may fish but have caught some good stringers at the mouth of grahams lake up from west lake landing. The river is so low, don't fish it anymore but have spent many hours fishing from west lake to Sandy Hammock. We caught most white perch in small eddies close to tree tops. Really have to be careful on the River.......we floated from west lake to dykes landing about a month ago and had to get out and push several times.
Hearing of some limits coming out of the Ocmulgee last week, around Barr's Bluff.
my neighbors caught around 150 in 3 days last week on the river but i dont know where they was fishing
