Snake Lot's of folks kinda worried about this. Pure fishing, Rapala and Berkley were bidding and then this Investment Place got into, lot's worried that the price of hooks is going to skyrocket. Or quality is gonna go by the wayside. There's some fly hooks that are on backorder with no ETA when they'll get more.
Folks are stocking up just in case.

Good Grief Fatman, guess I better load up more on my fly hooks now. I have a good many, but want more if bad things are going to happen. I usually buy Daiichi because I can get them wholesale. I almost really got a great deal, but some jerk spoiled it when he ask the guy where he worked why he couldn't buy them for less like my fried. Well you know how that works up the ladder and they killed my friends dealer deal. I was going to be able to get them in 100 packs cheap, but now just wholesale will have to do.
I have a great idea since I got some samples from one of my suppliers on some tungsten eyes with painted or color eyes on dun bell type. 3 sizes and one 1 is less that 1/32 and 2 over 1/32 so I figure I can tie on a fly hook and fish it with a spinning rod.

If it's a private investment firm, look out. Generally, these guys are not in it for the long term. First move is usally to cut costs to beef up the bottom line. 2nd move is usually to sell off assets/lines of business that don't fit. Third move is to sell the company for more than they paid for it, usually within 5 years of acquisition. That said, they're not into losing customer base, as that decreases sales value. They usually go after top management and admin positions first, shutter non productive plants, etc--all the things the prior management should have done if they weren't so busy collecting fat bonuses and taking bogus business trips.

Yeah the wife is considering letting me order a whole bunch, but she's worried that something else will go wrong and then I won't be able to use them. Tried explaining that if it ever came to that I'd have no problem selling them. I don't think she realizes just how many hooks I have LOL and I'm not telling her!!!!!
