Lake Talquin (Nov 18-19)

I took my youngest brother on his first "real" crappie fishing trip this weekend...We tried about 6 weeks ago, but the wind blew us off the lake...This weekend was slightly different. We got to experience the wind again on Friday, but we managed to get on some fish late Friday afternoon once the wind finally got tired of blowing and took a break. When we arrived to our fishing area, he had 5 nice slabs in the boat before I had a chance to get my rods in the water Hands Clapping..The bite was great until dark...Saturday was a little bit slower bite but we still had plenty of fish to clean...I think he is now hooked on crappie fishing...Water temp was in the low 60's all weekend. They bit on several different colors and was hard to narrow it down to just 1 or 2 colors, but all jigs were the ones I got from Baitman...Great product Thumbs Up...Sunday, the water was like glass all day long...Lightwirehooker took out an awesome fisherman this morning and Hooker even learned a few things...I am sure he will have some pics on here later....Here are a few pics from this weekend:Attachment 73840Attachment 73841Attachment 73842Attachment 73843

My son will be down from Alaska for Thanksgiving. Plan on getting down this weekend for a couple of days. Just watching the weather and water temps. Hope you guys give us some help when we get down there. Had a great trip last weekend and Monday was the best day I had all year. Want my son to catch some fish and than get home and let him shoot that big buck my wife keeps missing all year! LOL:mad:

I might have another football playoff game Friday night, we'll see? After the fiasco my crew had Friday night in our football game, not sure i want another game. My crew was being filmed by GHSA for a hopefully Dome Game in Atlanta this year. As luck would have it, both teams played awful the first half and we had 19 yellow hankees. I was wishing i was fishing instead of calling ball!?!??

Looks like ya'll had a fun trip and put plenty of fish thru the cleaning station...and some good sized ones too.Thumbs Up Baitman's plastics are doing it for me too. Just gotta get him to make a few other colors and I'll restock again. Congrats on the trip. I know you guys enjoyed getting to spend the time together fishing and fellowshipping!

I didn't get ther til Sat afternoon. I caught a limit in 3nhalf hours. It was kinda fun.:D While I was pulling in my rods to quit I caught two more. We are still fishing the river channel above Blounts creek. What are Baitman's plastics?
