Good question.. I'm waiting on the 2012 as well.
I emailed minnkota two weeks ago and still no answer from them.
Look at the Mississippi Forum, someone posted that the new i pilot will also be compatible with older model, as an upgrade. I think they said it was 499.00
I think I saw one for sale on ebuyersworlddotcom a few weeks ago.
