Love him or hate him he had a great run with the cards. He and Albert worked together for 11 seasons and made the play offs 7 times, with 3 national leauge championships and 2 world series titles. Yes, he has had a lot of good players to work with, but that is an awesome run.
I think they will hire Oquendo.
gonna miss him. I think he is the best in baseball right now, one of the very best all time managers, too.
Truly, a loss for the Cards. I really hope they get a replacement worthy of the organization and what he has built there. My vote would not be a popular one, but I would vote for Bobby Valentine. ALMOST as knowledgeable as Tony, and a good baseball man.
