Toronto Tough Last Weekend
Toronto proved to be tough for the Kansas Crappie Trail Anglers over the weekend. The bite was slow and the quality of fish for most anglers was not good, however there were some good fish weighed in with the biggest being 2.19 lbs. and that team had another one that was about the same. Fish were being caught in water from 4-9 fow Brown & orange, orange and chart, black & chart, brown & chart, pink & chart were some of the better colors. Jigs were the go to bait some anglers had minnows on day one but on day 2 the minnows were MIA.
We would like to thank the people of Yates Center for being very accomodating to us. The folks at Lizard Lips grill and deli for their hospitality, opening early for breakfast, making great sandwiches and giving good counts on minnows. Although the fishing was tough the hospitality we were shown made it a worthwhile trip and we will be back. I think the lake is going through a rough cycle right now but it will be back.
