from feast to famine....
this morning compared to yesterday morning was a wayyyy different story. got there same time with high expectations. casted and casted and casted. all morning long had 2 hits on top...with one of them i cant believe the fish didnt get hooked. Jeremy made it out there this morning for the first time and hooked up with a dandy 24+ inch striper on topwater only to have the fish come off near the bank and the plug came flying right for his face...lol did finally manage to land one barly legal keeper on a new modified topwater plug i made.....it works!!
switched over to bottom fishing....nada. tons of hits landed a handful of nice perch, missed a few. did get one keeper later on. i suspected that the fish would turn on as the sun came up. jeremy left @ 10 and i gave him a fish to take home.....then he pulled away and the bite was on!!! lol almost as if they knew he was around. did land 3 more keepers by 11. all 4 keepers were not the size i been catching but all between 20.5 and 22ish inches. every day brings something different....
