Caney Creek .....10/20

Well, fished from 1:30 till 5:00. Caught 9 that i kept and 20-30 dinks . ;-( . Looks like the news is really out about the creek , several ,MANY, walk-in fishermen (and this is a weekday) .The creek around the bridge is getting messy with liter, beer cans etc ....i dont understand why people do this . Even beer cans up the creek towards the lake. I saw an older woman fishing off the bank when i got there , she was still fishing when i left ....had not caught a thing , i gave her my 9 fish . ie: no picture . Good luck to anyone that goes this weekend , i bet its a 'circus' ! When i go back it will be a weekday at daylight to stave off the crowd. TJ

I agree I get tired of seeing all the trash on the banks. I always try and pick up some of it when i see it on the water. Ill bet if the authorities would get out there and write a few tickets that crap would stop. Also would help if they put some trash cans out there and have an employee pick it up everyday. Yep get there on a weekday at daylight and ill bet your size, and catch rate increase. I haft to be hard pressed to fish it on a weekend or afternoon of a beautiful day. LOL when the crowd hits the banks around the bridge I am either up or down the creek far away from them.

I agree bout the trash cans! I picked up a load Tuesday afternoon from the bank by the boat ramp and then just had to haul it home. Another thing I saw was a couple dudes smoking dope while fishing in those people's yard by the bridge.

Yep for the record if you dont like crowds or seeing trash on the banks you may want to fish somewhere else. I fish it cos its two miles from my door step and i know it gets loaded with fish.

I agree with the ticket option, we have alot of that up here. The trash can part would'nt stop alot of it and who would pay to have it done?

They oughta ticket every body out there throwing trash in the lake!!!!! That irks me to no end!!! I can't stand people like that!!!!!! Trashy Folks leave their trash!!!!
