i have spoke to the people at the pecan grove campground about our spring camp in lake village on lake chicot they said we were more and welcome and we can use the pavillon at no charge. but did say as soon as we set a date every one thats planning on camping does need to to make reservations to make sure that you have a spot. more to come this weekend will set date sunday oct.2nd
Is that the State Park campground that has the cleaning station down by the bait shop?
no, billy it is on the right side of the hwy. right pass the info center. it a lot more centrally located than the state park, its on the far northend of the lake. people that want to fish other lakes in the area want have to drive a extra 10-12 miles or have as long boat ride. we are going to plan some stuff for friday night also, this is going to be a all weekend camp!!!!!!!!!!!

What about the boat ramp near the Pecan Grove camping area? Is it ok? I have never launched there. I know there is a boat ramp on around the road toward Greenville that is pretty nice and near the Lakeshore Motel. Just curious.

I have been watching your posts about your Spring camp coming this next year. I would like to make it down for it, it would give me a chance to fish in my home state again. I will try to keep an eye out for the date and location information.
yes there ramp is right across the hwy from the campground i know people that uses it and have never said any problems. but you can go any were you want to put in or fish another lake in the area if you chose.
skeeter we will set a date sunday, its going to be on lake chicot in lake village,ar. our meeting place will be at the pecan grove camp ground.
