Humminbird help!
Me and a buddy went fishing Saturday in my boat. I have a couple month old 998. He has a year old 798. He brought his unit along with the memory cards. We put his memory card out of the 798 and put it in my 998. My unit would not read any of his coordinates. We then took screws holding the power cord on the 998 apart and hooked them to his 798. All coordinates were there on his unit. Just wondering why the coordinates wouldn't show up on my 998. Sorry for all the 98's. LOL

Put a post out there for Humminbird Greg He would be able to answer. I would think it would read it.

Nav Data is stored in internal memory. You have to export the nav data to the sd cards.

What CP said.
You have to use the Export All Nav Data menu to get the waypoints onto the memory card. Than you should be able to transfer them into the 798 unit by just installing the memory card and powering the 798 unit on.

Thanks fellow humminbirdees. He said the waypoints were on the card. I will give him a memory card and let him export Nav data like you are saying and try that.
