Was talking fishing with a couple of guys an we got on the subject of nicks an scratches on your transducer.....was wondering if you smooth them out with fine steel wool if it help with the recepition of the transducer or do the nicks an scratches that you get on them really hurt them at all ??? Anyone got any thoughts on if it has a effect or not ???
Never have done anything to mine but try to keep them from getting scratched up.
I try to keep mine from get'n scratched up too but..... Sometimes you let a 19 year old pull your boat out & he forgets to set the dog on the wench & drops your boat on the ramp. :( Boy that was a bad day! :DQuote:

I would think applying a thin layer of epoxy while it was new would help prevent scratches. Other than that, I don't think there will any difference in performance.
