hey, folks, i need a lil advise. I was at my local lake on a windy day recently and hit some pretty hard waves. well, a little while later my trolling motor was not steering in the direction that the indicator said it was, so I looked her over and the lower unit was loose on the shaft. I have a motorguide wireless with a composite shaft and it looks like the shaft threads into the lower unit and there was some type of glue holding it in place and also sealed the water out. I don't think the shaft is broke or cracked anywhere, and I think I jut need to reglue it and it will be fine. but I am not sure what type of glue/epoxy to use. I am an auto collision repair tech so I have access to many different types of adhesives, some I KNOW won't let go, but I want to know exactly what the factory uses, and I can't seem to find that info anywhere.
