Lotsa dinks, but a nice day too...

Caught a pile of non-keepers (Shellcracker) this morning. The Crappie bite was non-existant and I didn't bring any catfish bait so it turned into a fun game of downsizing my hooks and grubs and seeing just what I could reel in. They went crazy for the chartreuse 1 inch curly tail grubs and I did fairly well with white ones too. I don't even know what size hooks I used- they came in a pack of assorted sizes and were for lip rigging minnows...tiny tiny things.

Anyway- maybe I'm easily amused- but it was a nice day off from work and the fish were biting so what more can you really ask for? ;)

Glad you got to go fishing, I need to bad but I'm in the middle of remodeling our second Bathroom.

If you hadnt switched up for shellcrackers it coulda been a long morning. Sounds like you made the right move to catch fish and enjoy your trip.Thumbs Up Congrats.
