Salmon/Steelhead jigs
I got a new camera today and was playing around with the macro settings. Thought I would take some pictures of the salmon/steelhead jigs I made for my trip to Seattle next weekend. These are chenille and palmered marabou. I also have some marabou/rabbit/schlappen jigs, but I didn't have them handy when I had the camera out.

With crappie, they say less is more when it comes to tails. For salmon and steelhead, it's exactly the opposite. It's all about the 'big profile' in the water, so I used lots of marabou. Makes for a super big, super fluffy jig!

the second and third one are nice. Like those color combos. I like the way they have a big tail. We don't have any salmon or Steelhead here.Sure wish we did but lots of crappies. Smoked Salmon yum.
Always nice to see what others are doing on a related subject.

The look good and I bet they do well!
I had a guy from the NW contact me last year I think it was about some jigs for the same fish. I tied him some, but have not sent him a email to see how he did. I need to do that so thanks for reminding me of that.
