going to try these
this is one of them I read about as an alternative to pyrex cups. They are silicone so they insulate better than pyrex to keep your plastic hot longer BUT they are not as ridged. But for small runs it should be fine. I make 1 inch thick insulators out of pop for my cups to keep the warmth in longer and less reheats. I will mainly use it for dipping but I will let yall know how they do when I get them. here is a link to them

I have some of these. I use them but i still prefer the pyrex. I like the clearness of the pyrex especially when doing new colors. Have to be very careful while grabbing these and popping them in the mic. You will probably want to make something to strengthen them.. maybe your POP???
-
yes what I do is mix up some paster of paris in a round container and 1 inch or 2 bigger than my cup, then push the cup down in it and let it cure for a couple of days. Then you have a sturdy base to hold the cups and it will insulate them as well.
-
can you show a picture of your cup setting in the insulated base
-
also would these be shatter resistant?
-
I'm probably going to steal your idea for these. Be sure and clean those silicone cups good before u use them. I didn't and first time plastic bubbled like a mofo! Haven't had a problem since.

I will try and get you a pic up today, pretty covered up right now on a few things. Nut they do work pretty good to keep the heat in longer. Mine has about an inch of pop around the cup. that seems to be enough for strength too
-
I am guessing the pop does not come all the way to the top, and is there a pour groove?
-
no they dont come all the way up, just use them to hold the cups while injecting or dipping baits. fits and works like a coozy for a can

thats what I was thinking, I hope you can get a pictue when you get time
