2011 FJ Championship Qualifiers
A'ite now...ya'll take it easy on me. I'm working with imperfect info and my source documents are at home. In particular, the Ross Barnett results were lacking. I know there were at least 4 additional boats there that I don't have. Also, some results posted were silent on who the partner was, so this is a WORK IN PROGRESS.
I also have questions out to a few folks, so I reserve the right to correct, amend, chop, delete, add to, take away, multiply and divide as needed.
You not on the list and think you ought to be - PM me and I'll take care of it.
OK, so the rule reads:
14) Championship qualification. To qualify for the championship, teams must fish at least 3 regular FJ tournaments. In the event that a person fishes with multiple partners and qualifies for the championship, that person can choose anyone that has fished at least one regular FJ to fish with them in the championship. In the event that a co-angler (non boat operator) fishes 3 regular season tournaments with other person, that co-angler also qualifies and can bring a boat and fish as an angler in the championship, however, that person’s partner (if he chooses one) would also have to have fished 1 regular FJ. Regular entry fees of $40 per boat plus an optional big fish pot of $10 will apply to the championship.
Therefore, we have a few double qualifiers. Gonnabe for example. He was my partner for 3 FJs, therefore if we so choose, he could bring his own boat to the Championship and fish by himself or with Gottabe or with anyone else who has fished at least 1 FJ during the year in any capacity (boater or partner). But don't worry, I want to make this a fair fight for ya'll. Plus, I only have 1 boat at the moment and I ain't loaning it to him.
So...while there's currently 27 people (remember, work in progress) at the moment qualified, chances are there won't be near that number of boats due to double qualifiers like Gonnabe not fishing by themselves. Anther example might be ArTooman/Barbie and Sat/Torch.
A'ite, so here's the list. Column on the left is the qualified entrants. Column on the right is who qualified with them (normal partner or list of partners). Doesn't mean the qualifier has to choose from that list. Now, ya'll help me find the mistakes.
