I target water in the 14 - 20 ft deep range. Mud flats close to deeper water. I will use a small piece of night crawler or 2" black plastic worm. Work it very slowly on the bottom. If you can find wood cover, even better. Most of the time the fish that are big enough to filet are scattered, so I will hit several areas over the course of a day. This will usually get me enough to eat. Let me know how you do.

the fishing was hot were i went to fish. the crappie,bluegill,and some perch were hitting like crazy. i caught about 150-200 fish in a couple of days. most of the gills were 7" with quite a few going 8". the crappie were only about 9"-10" but will taste good. the largies were hitting as well on spinnerbaits.
