Big Thank You to Bassky

Thanks Dave for all your help I think I finally am getting somewhere. No more spiderwebs and strings shooting out the air brush. I think it was the comination of more air pressure and more thinner.

Thank you for your comments. I am glad you have figured out the Laquers. Now to see some of your good work. I know laquers have that added irridescents and sheen to them that you cannot get with the water based paints. Can't wait to see some of your work.

I ordered some palin 3 inch blanks the only real problem is they are all white including the lip. Well here is my first attempt after figuring out the spiderweb problem. Attachment 67957Attachment 67958Attachment 67959 Ok Im ready start with some Chart, Ping, Orange and Green will see what happens

These look great! What did you coat them with? let me tell you the best hooks for these type of baits. Mustad triple grip hooks. You can get them from Captain's Hooks Warehouse. They come in size 6 and 8.

I buy them by the 100 pack. Any cb I buy I replace with these hooks. What are you fishing for with these jerkbaits??

I am using a Polyurethane Gloss bar coat. Dries rock hard. Thanks for the info on the hooks i will be ordering them today. I have fished theses 3 inch cb's before they are a shallow diving plug that run 3 to 5 ft deep. I like trolling them in shallow lakes or over the top of submerged vegitation. I have caught Walleye, Northern pike , Bass and crappie on these.
