hows the fishing out there in the heat?

Most of us hit the lakes very early in the am & fish till noon or so. The other side of that is to fish the evenings & then stay out all night. Actually, night fishing is probably better and a lot of fun. Lakes are quiet with a lot less idiots on the water overnight. Of course the temps are really comfortable at night!

Even thought I'm a Chicago transplant, it's not the heat that bothers me as much as it's the humidity. I perfer the "Dry Heat"!

I do almost all of my fishing at night right now. Hit the lake around 5 or 6 and stay until 1-3 depending. Too friggin hot to fish during the day. Plus as mentioned, the lakes are pretty quiet. I haven't been doing any crappie fishing but have been tearing into the stripers and have also been out for cats and LMB. Been a fun summer so far. I might actually try to get on some crappie this week. Haven't done it since early spring........
