Can you add weight
This may be silly, but can you effectively add weight to Bandit 100's to be able to fish deeper. I have some 100's for a shallow lake nearby. We are going camping later on at Lake Greeson. I thought about trying pulling cranks but dont want to buy more baits. Thanks.

i dont fish with cranks but would like 2 start! but u could just break down and buy some 200s

Yes. Use a 3 or 4 ft leader between the weight and the 100. I would go with an even longer leader if I were using a long pole.

What size weight would you use?

May take some experiementing with the 100's. We use a 2 oz egg sinker four-feet in front of the 300's when pushing them from the front. 30 feet of line out means they are running 15 feet deep. We check the depth with the Humminbird to put them in the fish. We don't use 100's but maybe someone else on here already knows the formula for a given weight.

It will work, you'll just have to check your graph to see how deep a certain size weight ( 1,2,3oz etc) will take it down at at 1.5-2mph.

You got some good info from luvpt and BRM. If your still not comfortable how deep they're running hook on a couple ounces and pull in some 10 or 12 foot water. Let out line until it bumps bottom. I did this to check the 300's against the depth chart that's circulating around and found the chart to be right on the money.
luvpt's formula will probably be pretty close.

I don't use 100's. But, I put 3/4 onz above 3 feet of leader on my forward poles to keep them deeper than the rear poles. Less tangels that way.

don't know how deep you are wanting to fish but i do know this Bandit 100's will get get 12 feet deep with 120 ft of 10lb test monofilament without weight!!!hope this helps!!!!i pulled them this past saturday and all the fish was setup in 18 to 20 ft of water holding at 12 ft down and this setup; bandits 100's pulled 120ft behind the boat at 1.5mph gps speed produced fish!!!hope this helps!!!

Thanks fellows. I've tried pulling cranks a few times without much luck. The lake is a shallow lake. Thats why I got the 100's. But since I probably wont be pulling cranks in deep water much, I wanted to try it out before I spend anymore money on baits. Deer season is around the corner and I got a wish list to start on soon.
