1996 aluma weld please help!

Guys, I have noticed that not only do we have very professional fishermen on this web site we have very knowledgeable mechanics on here as well and I have a couple questions for you. First off, I have a 1996 aluma weld h56 with a pro v 150 Yamaha, when I’m in a no wake zone at idle it sways from side to side. It does this about a foot per side. Also when I put the hammer down and get on the water if I trim to much (past 2 on the trim indicator) it starts to bounce. But if I stay under 2 you can feel the boat lag. I am very new to the boat owning business but have had a lot of time on the water with friends. Any comments would help.

I also need a windshield if you know where I can get one of those!!

That weaving is normal for some boats at slow speeds. If you let loose of the steering wheel does the boat continue to go straight? If not your trim tab may need adjusting. Porposing is another problem. Make sure your boat is loaded as evenly as possible. With the motor down check the anti-cavitation plaste. It should be even with the bottom of the boat. If all that is good check these out. Nauticus SX Smart Tabs - iboats.com Yes they cost more than whale tails but they are far superior and don't add the stress to the transom that the whale tails do.

Did you install the tabs yourself? How difficult was it? I take it your very happy with them, I don't really want to use the whale tail.
